Human Resources Generalist at Fargo

Job Description

Volt has an immediate opening for an experienced Human Resources Generalist with a local leader in manufacturing.

Performs a variety of routine and non-routine activities within Human Resources to support major processes such as compensations and benefits, staffing, training, legal compliance, and employee communications.

Job Duties will include:

• Develop position descriptions/requirements.
• Create job postings.
• Support recruiting and candidate selection processes.
• Coordinate/Facilitate new hire on-boarding.
• Participate in compensation and benefits processes by gathering and reviewing information, preparing paperwork, verifying data, and performing other related activities.
• Provide information to employees and managers regarding routine questions and issues.
• Gather and review data to support tracking, reporting, and compliance efforts.
• Act as a liaison with external vendors to coordinate flow of information and provide related tracking and reporting.
• Maintain confidential employee information.
• Utilize Human Resources tools such as SAP and Business Objects to view and extract data.
• Coordinate scheduling and planning of training classes, meetings, and employee relations events.

Job Requirements

• Two or Four year degree in Business/Human Resources/Communications or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum 2 years experience in Human Resources.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of Human Resources principles and procedures including compensation and benefits, staffing, training, legal compliance, and employee communications.
• Experience recruiting and on-boarding.
• Ability to use standard software applications and intranet and internet functions.
• Experience in maintaining confidential data.
