Engineering Technician / Drafter

 

Job Summary: Responsible for meeting internal and external customers’ needs through accurate and efficient modifications to CAD files, BOM’s, technical manuals, and other engineering documentation.

 

•  Producing accurate and clear engineering drawings and accurate bills of material for new and existing products

•  Performing routine maintenance on BOM’s and related items

•  Communicating with other departments to clarify specific needs relative to assigned tasks

•  Assisting Sales with the quote process

•  Preparing information for owner’s manuals, bulletins, and sales literature

•  Managing several assigned tasks at one time

•  Assisting with the completion of ECN’s, projects, and other tasks from the engineering department.

•  Preparing department procedures for release / publication

•  Assist other departments as required

•  Other duties as assigned

 

Primary Tools Used: SolidWorks, Syteline, MS Office

 

Environment: Office area and production floor

 

 

 

FLSA Classification: Office Non Exempt

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

 

1. Experience in a design and manufacturing environment

2. Experience in CAD software packages (SolidWorks preferred)

3. Experience with ERP systems and BOM’s is a plus

4. Proficiency with MS Word and Excel

5. Ability to work independently and on own initiative

6. Attention to detail

7. Organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

8. Ability to work independently.

9. Must be able to maintain, be responsible for, and keep current on scheduled workload

10. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

11. Ability to attend and participate in required company meetings.

12. Must be a team player with high integrity and strong work ethics to meet company goals.

13. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

2. Regularly required to sit or stand, reach, bend and move about the facility
