Interstate Power Systems is a distributor for Detroit Diesel Engines, Allison Transmissions, MTU-Engines, Carrier Transport Refrigeration, MTU Onsite Energy Generators, Deutz Engines, and Waukesha Engines and Generators.  We have been a market leader in the service industry for over 50 years, and we have excelled at providing solutions and adding value for our customers.  Growth is a critical component of our business plan; we are currently expanding and developing a new Boiler Division. We are currently looking for a Certified Field Service Boiler Technician to help us grow this new and exciting opportunity.

 

Boiler Technician will fulfill a critical role in our new Boiler Division in its design to complete the services we currently proving for our customers. Employing over 600 technicians Interstate Companies, Inc. provides service to wide range of industries. As is our mission and our promise to our customers, we strive to provide “Pride in Service”. We do this by providing our technicians with continuing education and training they need to accomplish and sustain the highest efficiency possible in their field of expertise.

 

Job Duties:

• Responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance, repair on all makes of Boilers.
• Diagnose, repair, adjust and modify all components of the Boilers.
• Positive interface with service writers, foreman, parts department and customers.
• Keep paper work and Boiler records up to date and handed in upon completion.
• Meet requirements for certifications and work with State Boiler inspector to comply with State law.

Job Requirements

 

Requirements for Position:

•  High School Diploma or G.E.D and Class 1 and 2 or higher Boiler Certification.

•  Minimum 2-3 years’ experience working on Boilers with in field application.

•  HVAC experience a plus.

•  Must have own set of general tools.

•  Be able to work with diagnostic equipment such as flue measurements.

•  Use computers for web based training and work order system.

•  Clean driving record and ability to pass D.O.T Physical.

•  Physically able to lift and work with no restrictions.
