Chemical Lab Manager & Lab Technician
Responsibilities
* Learn operation of well stimulation and well cementing quality
control tests
* Learn and follow local and corporate SOP and safety standards
* Participate in an on call rotation and provide customers with assistance
or advice when required
* Make additive loading recommendations and assist lower-level
technicians with Cement and Fracturing lab testing
* Prepare various service line programs and documents based on
the analysis of lab tests
* Maintain an excellent knowledge of Cement testing equipment,
Stimulation testing equipment, and perform all scheduled maintenance
* Accurately perform all API testing as relates to Cement, Acid,
and Stimulation
* Comply with lab policies and procedures while performing functions
within the related environment
* Learn all normal laboratory calculations for the services being developed
Experience & Skills
* High School or equivalent
* College classes relating to chemistry and the petroleum industry
preferred
* Experience in an oilfield Cement testing and Stimulation preferred
but not required
* Demonstrate potential for technical proficiency, scientific creativity,
collaboration with others and*independent thought.
* Admirable interpersonal skills conveyed in a pleasant and professional
manner when interacting with employees, management, and customers
* Sound analytical and interpretational skills
* Skilled in verbal and written communication
* Ability to prioritize multiple activities with tight deadlines
* Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly with a high
attention to detail
* Ability to work independently, at a fast pace, and produce quality work
* Proficient with Microsoft Office desktop applications
* Must be able to pass drug test
* Must be willing to work evening shift
