Utility at Dickinson

Job Description

This is not a railroad location. It is a transload operation.

Description:
Purpose:
The primary function of the Utility person is to assist personnel in safely and effectively performing all required duties/tasks by maintaining all mechanical operations at the transload stations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate in a manner where SAFETY and ENVIRONMENT are of the highest importance.
Demonstrate performance toward operational excellence.
Climb onto top and underneath railcars in order to inspect and seal railcars using a checklist
Perform structural inspections as required.
Monitor equipment for SAFETY and ENVIRONMENTAL compliance
Perform maintenance on all equipment.
Experience analyzing, adjusting and making repairs on compressors, engines and associated equipment.
Will be responsible for the operation as it relates to pipelines, compressors, auxiliary, equipment, engines, pump stations, pumps, valves and other related equipment.
Ensure the cost effective and efficient performance of all engines, pumps and associated equipment at the compressor stations and pipelines.
Complete all applicable documentation and recordkeeping.
Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Position Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
Ability to work outside majority of the time and withstand extreme weather conditions.
Must maintain regular, dependable attendance and a high level of performance
Must be available for shift work when applicable, overtime when required and must be available to respond during working and non-working hours as required.
Must be able to work with a team, take direction and follow work rules, as well as, take on additional job responsibilities as needed.
Demonstrate knowledge of company safety programs.
Must possess a valid drivers license and a driving record satisfactory to the Company and its insurers.
Preferred experience, skills and knowledge, above the minimum requirements, not required but advantageous in this position.
Successful completion of a background check and drug screen.
