Financial Analyst Systems at Fargo

Job Description

Job Summary: Day-to-day support of standard and non-standard reports, analyses, and insights for General Finance and Operational Finance.
Provide forward-looking reports and proactive analysis (including cost accounting)
Perform ad hoc analysis for divisional leadership or operational finance.
Support, training and capability building on analytic techniques for the broader organization.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day decision and analytic support for division and uses financial and data analysis expertise to support various financial and clinical initiatives (e.g. Service line, Physician, capital, etc.) as requested by management and/or external CHI sources
Create and oversee standard division-focused reports
Perform analytics including productivity from Action O/I, Visionware and Premier
Provide revenue analysis to administration and department directors as requested
Assist users, enhancing their understanding and use of decision support information
Provide end user education to local community
Collaborate with CHI National ACoEs and EI on Finance related elements
Systems and data
Propose strategies to improve data quality through data validation; understands variations between source systems and data inconsistencies
Administer system/data part of budgets including EPSi input and analytics such as variance reporting, also assist with flex budgeting where applicable
Cost accounting preparation
Prepare RVUs collection workbooks
Conduct RVU collector (study) meetings with each department lead at least once a year
Work with Service Center Analyst for re-classes, changes in logic on as needed basis
Analyze and review of resulting cost by item and category
Participate in a Cost Integrity Group

Skills, Knowledge or Abilities critical to this role:

Working knowledge of computers, databases, data analysis techniques and report writing applications
Advanced skills in Microsoft applications
Strong familiarity with financial data systems such as EPSi, Hyperion, etc.
Strong analytic skillset and ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference
Superior problem solver - ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form
Advanced interpersonal skills
Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail
Ability to complete complex analytics including trend identification and multi-variable analysis.

Education / Accreditation / Licensure:Bachelors degree in business related field with emphasis in, Math/Statistics or Accounting/Finance and/or Info SystemExperience:3 - 5years of healthcare experience.
