Direct Hire OpportunityLocation: Wahpeton, NDHours: Monday-Friday, 7/8am-5/6pmDuties:Work with the staff to coordinate production, purchasing, scheduling, quality, distribution and warehouse activities in accordance with the established policies and procedures to meet budgetary targetsServe as a source of technical knowledge and expertise for the production lineProvide weekly updates, key performance indicators, capital projects, plant efficiencies, plant yields, safety, quality issues, employee issues, major causes of downtime, corrective measures being pursued, and compliance with schedule, etc.Prepare, distribute and maintain records and paperwork related to assigned tasks. Document all incidents and deviations.Work with staff and vendors to take cost out of products. Establish a cost saving plan and goals. Strive to be a low cost producer.Work with the maintenance supervisor to coordinate maintenance activities insuring timely reaction and an on-going reduction of equipment related downtime.Assists in the development of standard operating procedures, train employees and project development.Meet regularly with staff to inform, review issues, set or change the weekly production plan, control cost, review financial information, and identify corrective actions to be made to address issues, and reduce or eliminate unnecessary downtime or product loss.Provides performance reviews on all direct reports when requested by Human ResourcesReview and analyze production, quality, maintenance and operational information to determine causes of nonconformity and operating or production problems. Lead all investigations into major operational problems and develop and implement corrective actions.Work with accounting to develop a plant gain share program.Set goals and objectives for the facility each year, develop and facilitate a plan for obtaining themHelp set a budget and capital plan each yearDevelop and implement capital projects Qualifications:Previous plant manager experience or supervisor/lead experienceAble to present during meetings and orientations, including use of PowerPointFood experience a plusExperience with hiring, firing, orientations, safety and reviewsAble to evaluate a situation and make a good decisionGood past work historyGood attendanceGood communication and interpersonal skillsGood mechanical aptitudeProblem solving skills for both production issues and employee issues
