Job Description

IT Support Administrator I We are looking for a dynamic and experienced information technology professional to join our team in Fargo, ND.

The IT Support Administrator I is a member of the Multiband IT Operations team. This position, under minimal supervision, provides server, application, and/or telephony systems support and administration. This position works closely with the IT Operations manager to design, recommend, and implement enterprise IT systems. This position also provides support for the Help Desk whenever necessary including level 2 and 3 troubleshooting. The IT Support Administrator I also provides guidance, mentoring, and training to other staff.

This position is subject to shift assignments, and due to the nature of the work and the requirement at times for extended coverage, this position is occasionally required to work overtime hours or hours outside of a regularly scheduled shift. Most importantly this position requires EXCELLENT customer service skills!

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 2nd and 3rd level response to all IT Support requests
  • Answers support calls through phone, eMail, and a ticketing system
  • Creates Help Desk tickets in a SharePoint based ticketing system
  • Installation, maintenance, and upgrades to server based applications and systems
  • Configuration and maintenance of IIS based applications and services
  • Imaging and deployment of Windows and Linux based servers
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software problems
  • User account provisioning
  • Other duties as required

Job Requirements

IT Support Administrator I Key Requirements/Skills/Experience:

  • Strong general computer skills
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong verbal and writing skills, ability to communicate clearly
  • Expert experience with Windows Server operating systems (2003 and 2008)
  • Expert experience with Windows IIS 6 and 7 or better
  • Expert experience with Microsoft Active Directory Networks
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Networking Security best practices
  • MCSE or MCITP Preferred
