Manpower is currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance HVAC Specialist. This is a full time permanent opportunity that would require relocation to the Vermillion, SD area.Job Duties:Operate a high-pressure heating plant, during a shift. after the appropriate training period, Be part of a team responsible for operation and maintenance of gas, oil fired steam boilers and will operate chillers, pumps, fans, and other auxiliary equipment. Position will adjust equipment controls to provide for optimum operating levels and conditions; start up and shut down equipment in response to ongoing changes; accurately read and record all required plant gauges, controls and meters; take corrective actions as required in response to alarms or problems. Read recording charts. Initiate appropriate remedial action when operating conditions or other equipment malfunctions occur; frequently inspect the plant and equipment to assure proper operation of equipment through observations (sight, sound, vibration, etc.). Provides HVAC serviceswith specific responsibility for identifying repair and/or replacement needs; installing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading HVAC systems and equipment. This position also monitors and adjusts the full range of heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment by means of a Building Automation System as well as hands-on work; write, modify, code, analyze, enhance and debug Building Automation System (BAS)computer control software programming; set up, troubleshoot, repair, test and calibrate electronic components for BAS computer control; troubleshoot, maintain, modify and repair steam heating, traps, ventilating and air conditioning systems and equipment including DX (direct expansion) and hydronic systems, fans and fan motors, pumps and pump motors, electric and pneumatic controls, and associatedsafety, overcurrent and other equipment protection devices; respond to trouble calls. Successful applicant will have significant experience in industrial level HVAC systems and equipment. Preference will be given to applicants with experience working with food service equipment. Finally candidate must have a Freon certificate or be able to obtain one within 6 months of hire. Hours are a varied off- hourshift.
