Job Description
OverviewThe National Accounts School Executive reports directly to the National Accounts Manager and will be responsible for building strategic relationships at all levels within our existing customer organizations.
Successful National Account School Executives have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management within the our organization, as well as the customers organizations, including the experience and judgment necessary to know when to increase and intensify the communication, especially to executive management.
The ideal candidate would bestrongly teamoriented.
Responsibilities- Provide service to School and Bid accounts that ensures customer satisfaction by providing the best distribution at a profitable level for the company.
- Manage assigned territory in a manner that will ensure customer satisfaction while achieving Sales and Gross Profit Plan Goals.
- Provide superior consultative sales and service by utilizing Star Solutions, CRM, and otherproprietary Customer Solution Tools.
- Work with current and prospect accounts to gain new business.
- Visit with assigned accounts as well as prospect accounts on a scheduled basis.
- Draft letters and memos to keep customers and internal departments updated on activities.
- Review and improve service level by monitoring Out-of-Stock and Sub Reports, Price Over Ride Reports and Weekly Usage and Demand Reports.
- Work closely with Procurement Department to ensure that proper inventory levels of needed products are in stock at all times and available to assigned customers. Prepare and present projected usage information to Procurement in a timely manner as needed.
- Perform customer collections and work proactively to keep accounts current.
- Attend sales related meetings and activities.
- Gathering and compiling key data / account information for dept.
- Making decisionsthatpositively affect service levels and profitability.
- Working with dept. management on reviewing procedures/ projects as necessary.
- Assisting withbidmaintenance as directed.
- Assisting with order guidemaintenance as directed.
- Assist with school rebateprograms as directed
- Oversee school menu reports
- Assist with school milk bids
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 yearcollege degree or equivalent in industry experience preferred.
- Experience in School or Chain Sales (food industry a plus) is strongly desired.
- Computer skills required; knowledge of MS Word & Excel.
- Good oral and written communication skills required.
- Strong ability to prioritize and organize is vital, must work well in groups, and be able to manage heavy workloads with many interruptions.
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug test.
