Permanent Placement OpportunityHours: Monday-Friday, 7/8am-5pmDuties:Responsible for 10-12 facilitiesReview incidents and report on an ongoing basisReport loss control activityResponsible to collaborate with field staff to implement proper proceduresTravel to fixed facility sites on a monthly basisEnsure the quality delivery of the EHS program by guiding and mentoring operations managers and supervisors to increase safety and environmental awareness and improve EHS practices of day to day operations.Conducting audits under the corporate risk management program.Coordinating the execution of environmental monitoring and emergency exercise events.Participating in incident investigations and provides guidance to operations when conducting root cause analysis. Ensuring safety hazards and environmental risks are identified and controlled through established programs.Coordinating regional EH&S steering committee meetings.Maintaining relationships with regional agency personnel.Supporting operations to maintain a community relations program.Maintaining effective relationships with regional stakeholders. Identifying concerns and industry trends to advise operations management.Coordinating public involvement with regional initiatives.Demonstrates an understanding of internal and external customer requirements and provides quality service in accordance with company and regulatory standards.Working closely with other regional and corporate staff to enhance the companies risk management system.Participating in regional/corporate initiatives. Providing guidance through coaching and positive reinforcement to operations management to ensure that all employees are trained to do their work in a safe and environmentally sound manner Qualifications:3-5 years experience working in the Environmental Health and Safety fieldStrong OSHA knowledgeStrong communication skills both verbal and writtenGood understanding of disability managementFlexibility in travel, 50-60%Strong team playerSelf-motivated and self-directingMust have valid license and passport
