Our client is an established leader in utilities and a pioneer in advanced power located in the Northern U.S. This company is projecting tremendous growth due to significant demand of its products, as well as continued investments in technology, equipment and infrastructure. They are leveraging their core competencies to develop chemical by-products which will be sold and distributed on long term contracts across North America. Due to their continued growth we are seeking an experienced Senior Process Safety Engineer to join their team.
This highly visible engineer will plan, administer and lead OSHA policies and Process Safety Management compliance initiatives.You will be working with a talented team of engineers and interfacing with other plant personnel as a safety leader. The ideal candidate will be a degreed Engineer (BS Chemical Engineer) with a minimum of 7 years experience in a heavy industrial setting (preferably chemical, petrochemical, petroleum refining or highly related field). It is important to have demonstrated knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations and working experience with (PSM) Process Safety management.
Background:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from ABET accredited program (BS Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering in a chemical, petrochemical or oil & gas setting)
- A minimum of 8+ years hands on experience with OSHA and EPA regulations
- A well rounded technical background, including strong PSM (Process Safety Management) and PHA (Process Hazard Analysis) experience
- Ability to communicate ideas with all levels of plant personnel and be a team player, solving problems in a large industrial plant environment.
