Quality Assurance/Warranty Manager

Rugby Manufacturing, a TBEI Company, and a leading manufacturer of class 3-5 dump truck bodies and hoists, has an exciting new position available due to outstanding market growth.

If you are an experienced Quality Assurance/Warranty supervisor or Manager with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in these fields, and are looking for a change…look no further.

This position will allow you to develop and implement a complete quality assurance process for all aspects of our business. The position will also administer all warranty claims, so excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills are a must. If you love a fast paced and interesting environment that will allow you to express your creativity then this will be the perfect job for you. We would expect that the successful candidate would be able take us to ISO 9001 certification within 2 years, so experience in this venue is highly desirable.

In this position, you will report directly to the General Manager and will be on the senior staff that guides the business.

Job Requirements

 

Quality Assurance/Warranty Manager

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  Prepare Inspection Reports to document the quality status of parts, including the routing and tracking of rework and scrap.

  Accurately document the results of the inspections and testing.

  Performs in-plant inspections of active production areas to resolve problems early and to ensure compliance with SOP and regulatory requirements.

  Participate in the construction and/or revision of SOPs for the inspection function.

  Provides guidance and technical assistance to others.

  Perform tasks in a timely, safe, and accurate manner to avoid delays in manufacturing.

  Evaluate problem, identify root cause, and recommends corrective action to prevent recurrence.

  Perform Inspections of purchased parts, subassemblies or finished company products according to well-defined criteria using standard physical and/or mechanical measurements.

  Maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner

  Inspection of incoming raw materials based on technical drawings.

  Make acceptance or rejections decisions based on established procedures.

  Establish appropriate inspections setups using the equipment available with little, if any assistance.

  Follow company safety policies and procedures while ensuring quality work.

  Communicate problems with the Engineering Department.

  Responsible for all Warranty Administration and Resolution.

  Responsible for any and all plant audits.

  Responsible for all 5S Training and Other Training as needed

 

 

Position Qualifications:

 

  High School Diploma or equivalent.

  Must be familiar with fabrication, welding and manufacturing.

  Must have good English written and verbal communication skills.

  Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers consisting of whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages.

  Must have some understanding of the English and Metric systems, including conversions.

  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals, work instructions and drawings.

  Blueprint reading is a MUST.

  General proficiency of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

  Ability to work independently.

  Excellent organizations, interpersonal, decision-making and problem-solving skills.

  Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  Has excellent attendance and can handle responsibility.

  Excellent problem solving & telephone skills are a must

 

 

Physical Demands:

 

  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands and arms to reach or grasp; talk and hear and smell.

  The employee frequently is required to stand and walk up to 8 hours.

  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

 

 

Work Environment:

 

  While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near mechanical equipment, is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles, chemicals, extreme heat, and some vibration.

  Hearing protection may be required in some areas.

  Steel Toes required.

  Safety Glasses required.

 

 

Additional Position Information:

  Salaried position. Must be able to work with night shift personnel and extended hours.

  Relocation required to Rugby, ND. Some relocation assistance will be available.
