EPMO Project Manager II - Clarity Implementation at Fargo

Job Description

Job Summary:Oversees the planning and implementation of approved projects. Ensures projects meet budget, schedule and scope requirements.Essential Duties:
  • Provides leadership to project in the following areas:
    • Project governance and planning.
    • Project activities, schedule and responsibilities.
    • Communication Management.
    • Quality Management.
    • Risk and Issue Management.
    • Resource Management
    • Scope Management
    • Vendor/Contract Management - ordering of vendor products/services as needed
    • Benefit Management
    • People Change Management
  • Enforces project management standard practices.
  • Assembles reports on project status, including progress and resource deployment.
  • Monitors all project linkages, dependencies, and enablers.
  • Identifies, monitors, and tracks risk.
  • Monitors resource utilization.
  • Monitors and coordinates all project related communications.
  • Travels as required to manage phases of projects.
  • Ensures the quality and success of the project deliverables and is accountable for managing risks and issues that come up.
  • Focuses on delivering projects on time, within budget and within planned scope.
  • Provides feedback on project learnings and best practices from projects.
  • Leads post-project audits with EPMO staff and management.
  • Develops deep skills in specific project management functions and for key types of projects. Knowledge of one or more project domains prefered: Heathcare Financial Systems, Enterprise Applications, Application data integration, HR systems and business workflows, Intranet and/or web-based internal app. develpment.
Project Profiles
  • This role manages moderate to complex projects.
  • PM works autonomously with guidance from PM Leads and/or EPMO leadership to resolve project escalations and major project issues.
  • Purchases approved vendor IT products and services as required by projects up to financial limits (TBD).

Job Requirements

Education:
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
  • May substitute an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
  • 3 years of project management experience required.
  • Experience with healthcare applications (Lawson, Cerner, Meditech) strongly preferred.
  • Healthcare industry experience is strongly preferred.
  • 5 years of total IT/project management experience required.
  • Experience leading project teams is required.
License/Certification:
  • Must possess or be working toward PMI certification.
  • Completion of CHI project management certification course to use CHI project management methodology and tools in first six months is required.
