Credit Card New Account Review Representative at Fargo

Job Description

Reviews new account applications for both consumer and small business credit card products in an attempt to verify application information and identify potential fraudulent applications. Utilizes several fraud detection tools available from both outside vendors and internal sources to validate application information. Reviews applications for high-risk addresses and phone numbers, high-risk social security numbers, and consumer fraud statements. Evaluates the overall risk factors of the application and takes appropriate action to determine whether the application is legitimate or fraudulent. Makes proactive calls to branches, applicant employers, housing rental agencies, as well as contact applicants directly in an attempt to verify application information. Takes incoming calls, averaging 15-20 calls daily from credit card applicants regarding applications identified as requiring further verification.

Candidate will be scheduled to work 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday- Friday.

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One to three years of clerical or related work experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Well-developed ability to identify and interpret data and resolve exceptions
- Ability to work with unwritten but generally understood instructions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications
