QBE, a large and expanding international company, is looking for a IT Client Services Consultant to add to the team due to large amounts of growth within the organization.
This individual will be responsible for administering crucial business systems and oracle environments for NAU systems. They will work with multiple teams to solve issues with production systems and level two issues of users.
Responsibilities
- Provides monitoring, problem solving and fulfillment resources and solutions within knowledge level and authority for designated distributed computing hardware, operating system software, application software, and wiring problems.
- According to SOP’s, configures and installs hardware and software within the distributed computing environment to include desktop and mid-tier computing.
- Documents all testing and standard procedures according to established standard operating procedures.
- Analyzes and recommends standards and guidelines within knowledge level and authority for deployment on distributed computing to include desktop and mid-tier computing, LAN and WAN, desktop engineering, and software packaging consistent with Company and user requirements.
- Provides timely lease replacement processes. Replaces customer workstations and laptops following lease replacement guidelines.
- Provides technical consultation and documentation to Level 1 Help Desk for applicable hardware and software for distributed computing environment including PC’s, LAN, office systems, software and desktop, and LAN operating systems for multiple locations.
- Identifies and implements process improvement opportunities within the Company to increase the level and quality of service provided to internal and external customers.
- Provides off-hour support.
- Provides Level 2 support services for distributed computing environment including desktop and mid-tier computing.
- Deploys, maintains, resolves problems within knowledge level and authority, and requests fulfillment for distributed computing including desktop and mid-tier hardware and software.
- Provides Backup/Patch/Active Directory Management
- Performs Asset Management of company Inventory
- Provides leadership and consulting services related to the information technology field to customers and other Information Services support groups.
- Completes special projects and other functions as required.
- This position requires up to 10% domestic travel
Minimum Qualifications
- 4 year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent and continuing education related to the job and designated technologies.
- 2 or more years of related experience working with network environments and supporting n an information systems support role.
- Knowledge of data processing, software applications and operating systems, and hardware in the following areas: distributed computing including desktop and mid-tier, LAN and WAN technologies, communications, software packaging, and desktop support.
- Demonstrated proficiency with personal computers in a networked environment and applicable software and hardware.
- Demonstrated ability to document procedures in a standard format.
- Demonstrated ability to assemble, disassemble, and move designated systems.
- A+ and N+ experience
- ITIL Foundations Certificate a plus
