Inventory Control Specialist

 

The Inventory Control Specialist performs duties that will maintain and monitor inventory integrity for Dakota Fluid Power, Inc., a regional leader in Hydraulic sales, service and repair

 

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS/DESIRED QUALITIES:

• Supervise the daily activities of the shipping/receiving team.

 

• Perform manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing and delivering materials, equipment and supplies.

 

• Develop and maintain a cycle counting program.

 

• Review and resolve inventory discrepancies on stock quantities, packaging, and quality.

 

• Provide training to other DFP personnel on inventory process improvements.

 

• Identify, label, and store materials for proper tracking and location identification for inventory control.

 

• Develop processes and controls to reduce inventory variances.

 

• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage.

 

• Utilize computerized or automated systems to accomplish tasks.

 

• Participate in continuous improvement projects.

 

• Prepare kitting packages for production work orders.

 

• Pick, package, and ship parts from warehouse to fulfill sales orders.

 

• Inspect incoming materials to ensure quality and fit for use.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent education
• Has the ability to lift up to 45 pounds
• Willing to work overtime when required
