Job Description
Watco Transload and Intermodal Services is currently seeking an employee/customer centered Shift Supervisor for our Stanley, ND Location. This position will be responsible for assisting in safely overseeing a 24/7 Petroleum Terminal Operations Facility.The primary responsibility for this position will be to effectively lead a team of individuals in safely performing their roles with a focused effort on providing superior service to our internal and external customers.
The preferred candidate will have strong leadership skills in building and developing a safety conscious, team-oriented and customer centered culture. This individual must be able to communicate well and have an innate ability to build strong, lasting and productive relationships with the Team and our Customers.

Assist the Terminal Manager in the oversight of the operation with SAFETY and ENVIRONMENT being a high priorities along with financial stewardship;
Supervise Team Members in transloading of customer product;
Lead, train and develop all team members;
Must be available to work all shifts as business needs require;
Act as a stand-in for operators as the needs arise;
Ensure customer satisfaction and operational excellence;
Actively participate in customer meetings to build relationships;
Maintain and develop safety culture among all team members;
Ensure that team members receive the proper training to perform their jobs;
Ensure a strong level of ongoing communication and coordination with other corporate departments;
Complete all applicable documentation and recordkeeping;
Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements; and
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Position Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years Supervisory experience;
Strong organizational and leadership skills for a multifaceted work environment;
Excellent interpersonal skills, strong oral and written communication;
Detail oriented and customer focused;
Ability to troubleshoot operational problems;
Familiar with applicable Federal, State and Local regulatory agency requirements;
Must possess a valid drivers license and a driving record satisfactory to the Company and its insurers;
Experience, relative skills and industry knowledge is advantageous but not required for this position.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
Must be able to see well enough to read gauges, precision measuring instruments, schematics, maintenance manuals as needed;
Must be able to talk and hear well enough to communicate with Team Members, supervisors and others within the company 100% of the time;
Must be able to reach with arms and hands to perform inspection, maintenance and repair duties when needed;
Must be able to bend, stoop, twist, kneel, squat 100%;
Must be able to use hands to grasp, handle, finger and feel 100%;
Must be able to climb and balance well enough to mount equipment by climbing up and down steps as needed; and
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to a high noise level; moving mechanical parts, moving machinery, outside weather conditions and elements; fumes from gasoline, oil and grease. The employee may occasionally be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.
