We are DFA-the premium provider of market opportunities for farmers and a value-added supplier of innovative dairy products and food components for customers around the world.Duties and Responsibilities: Schedule, assign work and provide clear direction to production employees. Ensure that production processes flow smoothly and daily production goals are met. Monitor the pasteurizing, separating, cooling or freezing, filling, mixing, clean-up, standardizing, packaging and storing opeartions to ensure that plant production and quality standards are met. Work effectively with unionized employees to promote positive and productive working relationships. Understand and effectively apply work rules, union contract provisions and employment policies. Observe and/or participate in employee grievances, gaining knowledge for Human Resources and plant management. Monitor the equipment used in production processes (i.e., pasteurizer and cooler tanks) to ensure that equipment is functioning efficiently and is properly cleaned and sanitized. Arranges for timely repair/resolution of equipment failures. Actively promote safe work behaviors, hold self and others accountable for following safety rules and regulations. Conducts accident/injury investigations and sends reports of injury to HR in a timely manner to meet rapid reporting standards.Understand and fulfill the requirements of SQF 2000 Level 3 code of regulation for food safety and quality.Job Requirements
- BS in related field or minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in the food industry. Practical work experience in supervision, quality, and product reliability.
