Transportation Engineering Manager at Bismarck

Tait & Associates, Inc. is currently seeking a talented and driven individual with DOT experience to manage transportation services through our North Dakota office. This office specializes in engineering and project management for state and local roads, streets and highway type projects including; right-of-way layout, drainage and utility systems, preliminary and final design, preparation of construction documents, cost estimates, project scheduling, bidding and overall project management.

Primary Responsibilities: This position requires someone who is able to work effectively and communicate regularly with state clients, along with municipal, federal, and local agencies. Transportation Manager with DOT PM and local municipal transportation PM experience required. Project Management experience with the NDDOT is desired, and the ability to make presentations at public information meetings, councils and technical conferences is expected. This position also requires someone who is able to communicate effectively with and mentor our staff. Past office management skills are a plus, but we are willing to train the right individual.The Transportation Engineering Manager will be responsible for increasing the NDDOT transportation market share for our North Dakota office and will also be managing our North Dakota office and staff, as well as meeting regularly with NDDOT staff and will adhere to our Company Goals & Values as well as our standards for Quality Assurance.Qualifications:Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university. A minimum of 10 years relevant experience with 5 years experience at the Project Manager level. Must be experienced in NDDOT, or other DOT agencies procedures, standards and specifications. Must demonstrate capabilities and success in managing multiple projects and proven leadership, communication, mentoring and client liaison skills. Must have a working knowledge of design software, including Microstation and Geopak.
