Health Benefit Consultant - Williston Position Objective

The Health Benefit Consultant will be responsible to sell, service, and retain individual health insurance business for Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota.

Knowledge

• Sales/Marketing theories and practices.
• In-depth benefit and contract knowledge.
• ND regulations and laws regarding insurance (example: COBRA)
• Underwritng Guidelines
• Understanding of claims operation
• Time Management
• Multi-line telephone system

Abilities

• Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written and listening
• Sales Skills: Prospecting, proposal and closing skills
• Self-motivation
• Organize and prioritize workload to meet goals
• Calculate rates
• Telephone etiquette

Job Requirements

Health Benefit Consultant - Williston Education and/or Experience :

• College degree in business related field or equivalent work experience in sales or marketing.
• Must be licensed or willing to become licensed to sell health/life insurance in the State of North Dakota and meet the ongoing Continuing Education requirements to maintain license.
• Must be AHIP certified and maintain all CMS requirements to sell and represent CMS regulated products offered by BCBSND.

Other Information

• Base for this position is $3123/month - Marketing Incentives available.
• This position is eligible for a competitve benefits package.
