RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To develop and maintain cooperative relationships with local, state, and federal officials, agencies, and other health care related entities in both the private and public sectors.
• Communicate the position of the organization on issues which impact the health care and reimbursement system.

 

 

Job Requirements

EXPERIENCE:

• Extensive knowledge of legislative and governmental structures and processes.
• Extensive knowledge of the health insurance industry and state statutes and regulatory requirements affecting the industry.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Interpersonal skills are necessary.
• Must have the ability to interpret and develop policies.
• BS degree Public Administration/Political Science or equivalent and/or experience in related area.
• Legislative experience and knowledge.
