Errors or omissions may impact your rating or result in you losing consideration for the job. MAJOR DUTIES:  This position is located at the Fort Yates IHS hospital in Fort Yates, North Dakota.  The purpose of the position is to work alone or as a member of a crew to perform the full range of custodial duties in assigned areas within the hospital.  Follows general instructions on the work to be completed. ·  Working alone, the Custodial Worker must be able to do all cleaning duties on his/her own and without instructions. ·  Knowledge of the proper use of a variety of special cleaning and sanitizing solutions, and must be able to remove different kinds of stains from a wide variety of surfaces.  In addition, he/she must be able to clean and make adjustments to the powered cleaning equipment.·  Cleans and maintains linoleum, wood, marble, and various kinds of floors, walls, and ceiling surfaces using various preparations and heavy industrial power equipment.·  Removes stains from a variety of surfaces, using chemicals and cleaning solutions.·  Works on ladders to change light bulbs, replace Venetian blinds, wash walls, etc.·  Keeps restrooms in clean orderly and sanitary condition, disinfects and deodorizes lavatories, urinals, and toilet bowls.  Cleans water fountains, polishes door-knobs, etc.·  Performs other position related duties as assigned.   QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:Back to top ***BASIC QUALIFICATIONS*** QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:  Candidate MUST meet qualification standards as specified in OPM Operating Manual (Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions) and/or the Excepted Service Qualification Standard. EXCEPTED SERVICE QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:  Same as below.
